Women’s Perceptions
of Romantic Partners and Their Environments
You are asked to participate in a voluntary
research study
conducted by Jeff Snyder, MA, a graduate student from the Anthropology
Department at the
The purpose of the study is to learn about how women make judgments of potential mates and if their perceptions of others are affected by how they perceive their environment.
If you volunteer to participate in this study, we would ask you to fill out a questionnaire composed of some items rating the importance of attributes in romantic partners and other questions about your immediate environment and circumstances. The total length of time for the completion of the survey is approximately 20 minutes.
No potential risks or discomforts are anticipated.
You will be able to refer back to the investigator’s web site at http://www.sscnet.ucla.edu/anthro/faculty/fessler/ and see the final results. Society may benefit if this study sheds light on the ways in which people perceive others and their environment.
You will not be paid for your participation in this research study.
Participation in this study is entirely anonymous and voluntary. No identifying information will be collected about you.
The study is entirely voluntary. If you volunteer to be in this study, you may end your participation at any time without consequences of any kind. You may end your participation by directing your web browser to another URL, or by simply closing your web browser. You may also refuse to answer any questions you do not want to answer and still remain in the study. Completion of the survey will constitute consent to participate in the research study.
