POENTIAL RISKS AND DISCOMFORTS

Some people may find some of the pictures disturbing; beyond this, no potential risks or discomforts are anticipated.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS TO SUBJECTS AND/OR SOCIETY

This research may help you to better reflect on subjective experiences that you may have previously taken for granted.  Those interested will be able to refer back to the author’s web site at http://www.sscnet.ucla.edu/anthro/faculty/fessler/ and see the final results.  In addition to the benefits of conducting basic research, society may benefit by learning more about how emotional state affects decision-making processes.
